My Soul, you set out to find God, but you keep stopping for long periods, in mean-spirited roadhouses! - Rumi
Recently , I hosted a meeting in a conference room that’s usually locked, so I glanced at the four-digit door code before leaving my office.
“Should I write it down?” I wondered.
Nah. I’m of sound mind - no way I’ll forget a four-digit code.
You already know the end of this story.
In the interruptions encountered while walking down a single hallway, I forgot the code!
The door to life has a single-digit code.
We were given the code when we signed up for life.
“No way I’ll forget that!” we all said.
We must remember that we forget - this is one of the great metaphors.
We’re here for a single reason - love.
But a fool and his raison d’etre are soon parted in this journey of life!
Not to be outfoxed again, this time we wrote the reason on the back of our hand.
But it's not always easy, and sometimes we forget to look for that word of truth.
When we finally take a minute to love each other, we might say,
“Ah! I just remembered something.”
