To Them That Have, More Will Be Given
For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even what he has. Matthew 13:12
If you live from a place of giving and love, you will always have plenty to give.
If you live from a place of fear, life will feel like the end of a game of Monopoly.
When you try to get something out of life you lose, but only every time!
In this saying, Jesus isn’t trying to be cruel or take things away from people.
Like his other sayings, he’s trying to express a radical dichotomy:
We can’t serve two masters or put new wine in old wine bottles.
We go to wisdom teachers for self-improvement, but Jesus isn’t in the self-improvement game.
Jesus is in the God game.
Our human lives are a misconception Jesus is trying to correct.
If we don’t understand the teachings of spirit, we remain in a universe of limitation and loss.
This universe gives only to take away.
If you don’t realize you have everything innately, then you enter the game of loss.
In this game, you lose.
